The City Reader - Suburban Sprawl

A fifteen to twenty minute MARTA ride due north from the MARTA station closest to campus will land you in Buckhead. Once you get off MARTA you find yourself right in the middle of Buckhead's Business District surrounded by towering apartment buildings and office buildings and littered with all sorts of different retail shops. After exploring the area for a little while I finally stumbled on a small path next to a hotel. This little path led to a neighborhood called Peachtree Park. It was a nice little neighborhood that was very close to several of the points of interest that Buckhead has to offer. This neighborhood had many selling points. Safety, proximity to necessities, proximity to entertainment, community, and beauty are all important things to consider when determining whether a neighborhood is suitable or not, and Peachtree Park provided all of the above.
